2006 Bordeaux Wine Dinner

2006 was an excellent vintage in Bordeaux but was largely forgotten in the shadow of the spectacular 2005 vintage that preceded it. Unlike the 2005 vintage which are not drinkable yet and will live 75 years, 2006 are beginning to drink well now and is probably a 20-25 year vintage.


Chef Scott Drewno has prepared an excellent four course dinner to accompany this tenth anniversary tasting. After starting with a white Bordeaux aperitif of Hauts de Smith Blanc 2013, we are going to have four pairs of 2006 red Bordeaux including a pair of Graves, four St. Julien’s with the side by side second growth Leoville Poyferre and Barton. We will finish with Calon Segar and the phenomenal first vintage made by Jean Delmas at second growth Montrose.
